Private First Class John R Bergendhal

John R Bergendhal was born in 1922 and lost his life during combat June 6, 1944 in Normandy. He was hired December 30, 1942 in Hartford, Connecticut. He volunteered for the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment. He will be assigned to the Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion.

Pfc John Bergendhal is buried in the American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy, France at Plot E, Row 23, Grave 34.
